"Excellent service. Don't get the enchiladas, according to one my friends, but I really enjoyed the tacos. Angel, our server was fantastic, prompt, and pleasant. Also he was quite funny. As tourists from Canada, we enjoyed some authentic Mexican food. The scenery was great and free unlimited nachos and salsa were a sweet way of beginning our meal. We asked Angel for some advice on what else we could do in Dallas and he gave us great suggestions. All in all a great experience."

"Got the mole enchiladas and absolutely loved the meal. Mole is hard to find for how long it takes to prepare and the portion was huge. Served alongside a frozen marg sangria combo divine! A nice chill atmosphere."

"Ana was our waitress and she was one of the best we've ever had anywhere. She was attentive, didn't forget requests and overall very polite and accomodating. The food was great, particularly the chips and salsa, they were outstanding and the place as a whole has a cozy charm about it. We definitely found our favorite Go-to local texmex place."

"We had El Fenix as a family after church at the Upperroom Dallas tx. El fenix was delicious had very packed! The food came out supper hot and supper fast! Very pleased. I orders the el Jefe enchilada plate, my child had the burrito plate and my wife the bean and cheese nachos. The nachos were prepare just how we like them, plenty of beans and cheese on each chip and bite!"

"I'm having a conversation with another person about making positive changes in the works when a customer already drunk walks in and immediately starts insulting my appearance and after I verbally defend myself he slaps me in the face several times and threatens to hurt me if o dont leave. The bartender Chris makes me leave even though I was assaulted. The guy is already drunk and was still being served drinks. Complaint for an investigation to TABC is being filed and Police Report is being filed."

"My wife and I are always on the lookout for a good, non-chain , Mom Pop Mexican restaurant. We were staying downtown recently, and I looked this place up, and decided to try it. First off, be warned, you can 't just park next to the place, but it IS downtown., so be prepared to find a parking lot, and walk. We walked in the door, after lunch. Nice, warm looking place. Sat down and ordered a Margarita. (it was good the waitress brought over some chips and salsa. It was very good, and had an afterburn . I enjoyed it. I ordered the cheese and onion, and queso enchiladas. (both are cheese, right?? LOL but they were delicious! My wife ordered the tostadas, and said they were very good. She tried a bite of my enchiladas and agreed they were very good. I would DEFINITIVELY go back if in the neighborhood, and the next time I 'm in the Dallas area, I 'm going to search out their Greenville Avenue Restaurant to see if it, is just as good. I was very pleased."
