"Perfect place to finish their day after the samaria shlucht. standard Greek vegan options such as dolmades and Greek salat without feta. stuffed zucchini flowers were beautiful, just remember to ask all dishes, not served with Greek yogurt. cold watermelon at the end it just has flattened nicely."

"We were seated in the beautiful garden which is covered by large trees providing shade, creating a calm and serene ambience. The waitress and owner Julia was very friendly and accommodating. She specifically asked if my parter is vegan after taking our orders, to make sure everything was going to be correct we felt very welcome and accepted! The traditional Greek food itself was exceptional. The menu is largely vegetarian and vegan, with some animal based dishes in between. Everything is well marked (v for vegetarian, vg for vegan). Let me just say that the vegan Moussaka is to die for! Nothing feels like an afterthought. The vegan dishes aren't just traditional recipes with substitutions stuck inside, but are well rounded creations filled with flavor. The meat dishes are fantastic too, so it's a great place for mixed groups of people to go to. I would have liked to give the Taverna Garden a full 5 stars, but happy cow only allows max. 4 stars for restaurants that aren't 100% vegetarian/vegan. Updated from previous review on 2023 07 30"

"This tavern is located directly on Potamos Beach. It is a beautiful place and you have a great view of the beach and also the mountains. So beautiful and relaxing. The staff made us so welcome and the owner told us that his wife was vegan and that we should not worry about the food. The vegan dishes are marked on the menu, but I think it might be best to mention in addition that you are vegan. At first we got some complementary bread with olive oil, then we had the pasta salad, chips and the yellow pea puree plus a dish of changing menu, ocra with potatoes. All dishes were very fresh and delicious. In the end we also have some complementary fruits. The prices were so small and the portions generous. We loved everything about this tavern! Visited in April 2022"
