"Unbelievable experience! Four family members and a baby who didn't eat went to Little Tokyo to eat. Once the family reviewed the ticket, they were charged a gratuity tip of $17. They asked why they were charged a gratuity tip. The owner stated he charged a gratuity tip because he didn't think they would leave anything. The policy states if five orders within a party, a gratuity tip is added. Only four orders were placed. I was told not to go there because of others experiencing issues with the owner. Several guests were at the other table, eating and witnessing what had happened. They also agreed that the owner was wrong and heard of mistreating others and would not be eating there again. It is the principle of adding the tip and statement that was made profiling the customer. The owner stated that they were right, but he would not remove the gratuity tip. Your thoughts? I am sure it will be a very unprofessional and rude response that will describe his attitude and behavior toward the great citizens of MS. "We love going to the steakhouse for celebration dinners. Tonight we planned for a fabulous dinner to celebrate the holidays. Reservations for 5pm since we knew the place gets a little loud as the place fills up. Our server Toni was excellent. The wine house chardonnay and house Moscato both very good. But ... The NYE band was rehearsing and the music was SO loud we couldn't yell loud enough to be heard. So much for conversation at dinner. Despite talking about this with our server the band continued to practice for about 40 minutes. 40 minutes of ear splitting headache inducing noise. Our server did say she would talk to her boss but no one from management came to our table. We ended up with carry out boxes. The music did stop but so did our appetites. We were offered a complimentary dessert. Didn't help that we both thought the evening was spoiled. Where was management anyway? My advice ask about bands practicing before you go. Oh wait; our server told us she thought they would finish rehearsal BEFORE the dinner service. So why didn't someone tell them to stop? Management dropped the ball on this one."

"Myself and a couple friends frequent Taki at least once a month sometimes more. Most of he times we go for hibachi grill with some sushi on the side. Other times we enjoy the regular dining area and order off the menu or sushi. Always a great experience. Several of the staff recognize us as frequent guests. We are always greeted and service is always great. Server Jason is always outstanding and the chefs are always entertaining. Love this place."
