"I 'm not sure when they changed management but good lord is it good! I had gone here a few years ago, and not so great. But now? First off, I 'm a stickler for good service. I really dont care how good your food is, if your staff seem disinterested or 'better than thou ' then I vote with my money and never return. Not here! The younger kid at the door, the older gentleman who checked on our table twice; We ordered 3 of the lunch specials (I 'm a big guy! The older gentleman realized we had only gotten two miso soups at our table and so, unprompted, he let us know he had put an extra one in our to go bag. Talk about service the best when its unprompted! The food was spot on. Fresh sushi, rolls made well, miso soup w/ the mushrooms was a nice change of pace and both my wife and I loved our bento boxes. All in all nothing to complain about! Yes, a little pricey. But, it is sushi, so... ya know. You 're gonna pay seafood prices. Go and enjoy!"

"I've been wanting to try this place for years now I thought a girl's night out would be the perfect time to try them out. I have to say if you are going here JUST for the food no drinks, not banking on great service than you'll love this place. The food alone was a 10/10 I got the Poke bowl my best friend for the fire kiss roll both were amazing. But when it came came to the cocktails...absolutely a disappointment the elderflower liqueur which was in 75% of their cocktails they were out of. Before we knew this we ordered a drink that was suppose to have it they made the cocktail as is...missing that flavor.... From the industry IF YOU CAN'T MAKE IT RIGHT...DO NOT MAKE IT AT ALL. I think we ended up sending back 2 drinks that were totally undrinkable believe me...I can drink almost anything) one we just suffered through. I'm totally willing to get a job just to help train the bar staff. The service... Now when we told her we didn't like stuff she would just walk away not fix the problem), which I did notice she seemed to be all over the place not just a section so I do understand how it can be overwhelming but still make sure if the guest doesn't like something take it away get something new. Anyways the food is great!"

"Independence Wasabi was so accommodating to my grandmother surprise birthday party. I called the Beachwood site on March 18 to reserve a time for the 30th. On the 18th I was told you had to book the day and an hour before the time. Here's the catch, they lied. I called today just to say that they had the time I had reserved for two parties weeks ago. Now you can see where my sadness would come, I will never live... apply the Beachwood site again, they need serious retraining for their employees. Anyway, David the manager of independence was very... courteous, he told me to move my party to his location, and he would take care of us. David and his associates, gave my grandmother a wonderful first experience and a big 80 a little birthday. They sat fast and Willy gave us a good show! We are so grateful to the Independence site and become the new Wasabi at home! Thanks David and staff!"

"Service was phenomenal! Clean restaurant and cute quiet dining. Takoyaki and sushi was great. However, I WOULD NOT go here for ramen. They did not cook the tofu so it was just cold and quickly cooled down the broth. The egg was also cold and it seemed like not much seasoning was added to the dish at all, outside of being spicy. Unfortunately it was pretty bland and sadly I couldn 't finish it. TL;DR I 'll be back, but not for the ramen!"
