"De passage à blois nous souhaitions déjeuner sans rechercher un menu gastro. Pour 32 euros à 2 nous avons mangé buffet d'entrée, bavette et dessert plus un pichet de rosé 50cl. Prix très correct. Le buffet moyen j'aurai aimé un peu de charcuterie. La viande était bonne , pas grand chose à dire sur le dessert. Nous avons eu ce que nous étions venu chercher donc pas de souci. Le patron plutôt sympa."

"Located at the rear of the Hotel Saint Jacques is their small brasserie restaurant. We lunched on a baking hot day under the shade of a tree in their very pretty garden area. Our group of six opted for the 29 Euro set lunch with options for each of the 3 courses. The 29 euros included a Kir aperitif and a glass of house wine too. In truth I can't remember what I started with (that happens at my age) but I can recall with great clarity my duck main course… it was fantastic! A trio of duck - fried duck liver, duck breast and a duck confit all served with various vegetables and purees. The food was delicious but what is amazing was the presentation of each dish. We are talking Michelin-style attention to detail on every plate served. How can they do this for just 29 euros? I have no idea. My pudding was fab too - a lemon meringue, again served with various twists on a beautifully decorated plate. A feast for every one of my senses. Needless to say I wouldn't hesitate to hurry back for a repeat lunch."
