"We were warmly greeted on a cool Friday night in Melbourne. The restaurant was warm, cosy and welcoming.The menu is fabulous and caters for all tastes but best of all Ecco have clearly indicated dishes for those of us with special dietary requirements. When are ALL restaurants going to do this?!!!! We were a party of 4 and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our choices. BYO wine too for $15/bottle. Can't get any better than that!"

"Upscale restaurant deserving of the hype.<br/ <br/ It is expensive but you get your money's worth.<br/ <br/ There were three of us and we had the Nori Rolls, Seared Scallops and Oysters for starters, the John Dory, Ocean Trout and the Fish of the Day as mains, plus 2 serves of the Chocolate Mousse, cost overall was 285/ overall pretty good.<br/ <br/ Satisfying evening for all of us."

"Had amazing French dinner here with my daughter. We had escargot for the starter and the eye filet for the main. I had my meal paired with a beautiful red wine and my daughter with a lovely mock tail. For dessert my daughter had the eclair and I had the creme Carmel paired with port. The staff was very lovely. Best French food I have had in Melbourne."

"Because it is in the iconic Young and Jackson's Hotel, the Y J Cafe is a treat. It is visually interesting with Victorian period ambiance and memorabilia nearby and because it is so centrally located downtown, it is a good place to stop and...drop awhile before going back to sight seeing or shopping. Good coffee and light food available, fresh and flavorsome."
