"Thought I would try out a new local for some food and a drink (or two lol), but the service from whom I can only assume is the manager was awful. The waiting staff were all lovely, however the manager was just horrible. Then, our...meals were interrupted by this manager slamming and kicking doors, screaming/ swearing at staff and making such a scene for some miniscule issue I cannot even remember. I would not be coming here again unless a management change is made, and I imagine most new customers would think the same if they got a similar experience to me. Totally unqualified."

"The pub was recommended to us by Carl who runs Driftwood luxury glamping and the Dale abbey cattery. I have to say from the outside I would have driven past but Carl knows his stuff. The staff were friendly, efficient, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. There were five of us and we all ordered something different and we were all raving about the quality. My daughter lives in Derby and I will certainly be recommending this place to her. We are booking to stay at Driftwood again next year and this will be somewhere we will make a beeline too. Great staff, great food. What more can you ask for!"

"Lunch at Derbyshire Pub Of the Year A revisit to this spectacular pub on a lovely sunny day. To start Tempura Calamari £8.90 Chicken Skewer £7.50 Mains Slow cooked shoulder of Beef £15.90 Smoked salmon Prawn Risotto £16.90 We didn't have desserts as we were full This is truly an outstanding pub. The Dining room is lovely and bright with its floor to ceiling windows looking out to the most incredible beer garden. They have four garden rooms for private dining ideal for a special celebration The staff are lovely, friendly and professional. This is one of five pubs in the berkeleyinnslimited group and they are all beautiful and worth visiting. Review helpful like follow thanks"
