Walked up to the pub this afternoon despite the windy weather. It was quite busy but very comfortable in the bar near the log burner. Ordered the shared hog platter to go with a couple of drinks. Very nice. As it’s a country pub, lots...of people bringing in dogs which can be a little noisy, not a problem for us. As we left I fussed a couple of mini dashies, beautiful View all feedback.
What Charlie Turner doesn't like about The Spotted Cow:
Only got as the screen on my phone is faulty! And I can’t press where the 0 stars is situated! Glass of mediocre wine over “Do you still do the small bottles of milk for kids” “Yes” replied the pleasant!! Chap behind the...bar” Before pouring glasses out of a four pint carton! each!! A lime and soda too! “That will be sixteen pounds fifty please!!’ We did get the smell of dogs and the obligatory dog hair in the glass... View all feedback.
Here is a suggestion to go the corner, there is a place called anoki, a table there. Yes, it costs them 5 pounds more, they go out of a happier.

We’ve always looked forward to our visits to The Spotted Cow in the past, but this time we were very disappointed. There was only one vegetarian main course on the Sunday lunch menu – Bang Bang Cauliflower – which consisted mainly of somewhat lukewarm cauliflower...
Seemed like a nice place.. we were dancing Morris there so didn't stop too long but the welcome was pleasant, beer was good, nice range, I liked the cosy sheepskins decor. Will be back to experience more. Many thanks
Excellent beer served in a traditional British pub.
