"The café opens nice and early and is a welcome change to the usual business breakfasts served in hotels.It is not easy to find, so keep a look out for the two hotels between which it is located.I especially liked the use of old vinyl record covers as menu covers! Nice to see thought has gone into the café."

"Best chips cheese and gravy. Guy was extremely helpful and courteous, had to carry 3 trays back to work and was offered a box (I needed this as I didn't know how I was going to walk back with it all haha), served with a cheerful happy smile.Best of all was that the guys at work and I loved them :)Definitely will be back and recommending to others."

"Visiting from sydney and debated over fish and chip shops in Ballarat and there is a few! We went for Marty's Fish Shop as it was close and reviews looked ok. We ordered fish, battered sav, potato cake, spring roll and crab stick and onion rings with chips. Fish was great we got the butterfish and it was huge, everything else was great! Wasn't fussed on onion rings though. Clean new shop. Would highly recommend!"

"We went to dinner tonight. The best dives and souvlaki I've ever had. Really impressed by the atmosphere and service. The food is freshly prepared in the eyes. No prefabricated salads. They'll do them as they go. Will go back."

"We booked a family lunch here for 23 people at the end of may. Freight bar was very accomodating and Across the board the food was excellent! Everyone was extremely happy with their meals. The venue is beautiful and the subtle but lovely little play space for the kids was a bonus!"
