"A big shout out to Taylor who totally went way far and beyond in his duties to make sure we were looked after we were preparing the night before for our friends funeral wake and he came and made sure we had drinks and that we had everything we wanted on the day of the wake he was there again being totally attentive and nothing was too much trouble for him he made us feel so welcome and what a lovely lad he is whoever his parents are they should be proud he is one outstanding ,polite and caring young man thank you Taylor the whole Barton’s Mill is impressive and a lovely place to rest and be waited on a very nice and relaxing outdoor space with waiter/waitress service will definitely go back but in nicer circumstances"

"5 of us met here for lunch very friendly staff, good beers (London Pride and Doombar) and lovely pub grub. It was Friday so there was a special deal on fish and chips with lots of choice. Dogs particularly welcome. Lots of people in the pub having lunch which is always a good sign. If you want a traditional pub without any pretensions but a lovely warm welcome and a cosy and friendly environment this is well worth a visit. The food was exceptional value. The town is worth a visit with lots of walks along the River Test, and a Silk Mill to visit."

"I only use this as a Chinese and its fantastic, the chips are good I can vouch for them. The Chinese is always good, hot, tasty and fresh. My advice is always phone ahead or be prepared to wait. I have never had a bad meal from here and we use it weekly."

"We had a pre-Christmas family meal in the Hoddington Arms. We were warmly welcomed and the service we received during our meal was exceptional, really great and chatty waitress who made suggestions from the menu and knew the wine list. The food was well presented and cooked as we had asked. I would recommend the Hoddington Arms to everyone."

"Keeping the good hygiene practices with hand gel at the entrance set a good mood, with the cashier sanitising between each cash handle.Came in in the last 30 mins before closing, they cooked the cod fresh, didn't take too long. Cod was hot and batter was crispy as it should be."
