"Paid good Money for awful food. Feel ripped off. Used to go here all often and travelled a couple of miles for the privilege however stopped going during COVID as wait was too long. Just visited chicken kebab and chips and was bitterly disappointed. Young...girl serving was not friendly and tried to serve someone behind me before me. Portions were tiny. Chicken is stale and been obvisouly sat in container a while and tastes to spices like it’s cheap meat. Chips are hit and miss some ok some like chewing wood. Never again."

"We visited for Mother's day lunch last weekend. The Sunday dinners are always gorgeous here, and the starters on the set menu were well received too. I had the Thai fishcakes which were beautiful, others ordered the mushroom soup which was also delicious we all end up trying a bit of each others because it was presented so invitingly! One person in the party is a coeliac and the staff catered to this with gluten-free alternatives. It was a really busy day and the staff were attentive and cheerful despite being in the midst of the lunch rush. Thanks for a great afternoon!"

"We haven’t been to the white lion for some time because of COVID-19 and so on. We were regulars and one point. We won’t be going back ever. The menu was very limited. We ended up having fish and chips. We thought oh well will make up with a nice dessert. No such luck. We sat for nearly 20 minutes with dirty plates in front of us while watching the two waitresses talking and talking they both looked on and saw us sat there we already said we would have dessert after. In the end we went to the bar and payed the bill. I told the waitress how long we had been waiting. Blar blar never again…."

"Great chippy, big portions and at a reasonable price! It took me forever to find a chip that cooked her chips separately to fish (as I am vegetarian) and these guys do! They were very busy, but the staff was friendly and efficient. It's just that we're not local, so we need to travel about 30 minutes, but it's worth it. Come back here."

"It is a very sweet little caffe where they can have breakfast, brunch or lunch. besides delicious and various filled bagels, they have classic breakfast plates and packings. we ordered English breakfast and lamb pack. they accidentally brought us chicken mucosa, but they made us a lambskin when we told them that this was not our order and that the chicken mucosa also left what was nice of them. I prefer lamb wrap, but both were delicious. if you want to have a quick bite and hangout with their kumpels, this is a good place to go."
