"Lovely establishment away from the town centre of Nelson in a very peaceful, quiet and relaxing setting. They have really nailed the 'Ye Olde English Pub ' vibe and it 's got a really charming atmosphere. Every member of staff I interacted with was friendly, helpful and seemed grateful for my business. I stayed one night in a small single room and it was very comfortable and featured everything I needed for a good rest. The food in the restaurant was really delicious (especially the Crispy Pork Belly) and the range of beers and drinks available was excellent. I really enjoyed my time here and can highly recommend it if you 're looking for somewhere a bit different to the usual country motel."

"Think this is my favourite chippy in town. I recently made an order and got caught up in town and they had to throw my order away. They made me a new order on the spot even though it was my fault! They're great and super accomodating and will encourage others to get their meals here. Great service and great food too!!"

"Very good choice of food, we bought a salad and some chips to go with some mercy we had. Another time we bought 2 very good seafood pizzas. On another occasion we bought fish and chips. All was beautifully cooked and the service was prompt."

"Best dish and chips I’ve ever had. Only complaint is the portions are pretty small. I asked if a full scoop was enough chips for 2 people and they said yes, it was not. But the gurnard was INCREDIBLE."
