"Well, what can I say fantastic night. We went out with my cousin and his Antiguan friend to watch Elvis. We had food which was really good the salad was huge and plenty of chicken. All the other meals were brilliant. The atmosphere in the pub was brilliant. The entertainment was fantastic All in all we had a fantastic night. Bar staff really friendly and work hard. Thank you"

"We often go for a meal and have always had a very enjoyable meal.Yesterday we had a per cent off voucher ,so off we went. I ordered a rump steak,well done , jacket potato(we had had a phone call to say that the deep...fat fryer was broken so there were no chips or anything fried) with peas mushroom tomato and pepper sauce.When I cut into the steak it was still pink,which really puts me off . I called over the waitress and explained and she was very apologetic and took the plate away. The manager came over and apologised and said they would cook me another one..but it would take a while..was that OK? I said fine,and he said they would be as quick as possible. The waitress came back and asked if we would like puddings especially as my husband would have to sit and watch me eat when mine arrived...we said we would like puddings and tea and coffee.I waited minutes , which I didnt think was very long ,and then I was brought a completely new meal which was lovely.The steak was cooked perfectly. Our puddings and tea and coffee arrived and were very enjoyable. My husband went to pay and was told they were free as an apology! We will continue to go to the Bramley and enjoy their lovely food"

"Went here for Friday night tea time I understood that we would have to wait as every one and his mate was there with the same idea but after 25 min we got to order our food large Cod chips and a curry sauce we were told to wait outside for 3 minutes that was at 18.23 pm at 18.34 we asked where our food was we were given a number but obviously that meant nothing other people were being served cod and chips and we were still waiting eventually the girl called us in apologised and said I will give a extra fish for the inconvenience we walked out of the shop with our food at 18.45 they were so busy doing telephone orders which made us have to wait so long when we got home the fish that was supposed to be a large one was the same size I used to get for my farther 50 years ago and that was classed as a standard piece of cod now the price has gone through the roof and they call it a large Cod the chips were not very many for a regular portion and they were very dry the free extra piece of fish we were given for the inconvenience was disgraceful all batter broken in half and less than a handful of cod inside this is my second review of the golden carp and I have to say I have no idea how they acquired there awards unless everyone new they were in a competition and done their very best but I have to say two bad experiences is one to many so I won’t be spending my hard earned cash here again they are as bad as there sister company no consistent standards very poor quality ."

"We visited the local area for the weekend and popped into this chippy as it was close. We ordered a couple of different things off the menu, the fish batter was fluffy, the kebab meat wasn't greasy and the naan bread was the best I've ever had. Would definitely recommend to anyone."
