"Sunday lunch was excellent in every way. Good service, good food, good selection of cask and keg beers with a fairly decent wine list. Although it was a Sunday, there was a very good selection of dishes on the menu. There are quite a few pubs in this area that have converted to gastro pubs but are fairly disappointing. Rest assured, this isn’t one of them. I would highly recommend a visit."

"Rather than have our usual sandwiches whilst travelling popped into the café for some warm food. No welcome on arrival and thus no indication about using track and trace. We did fill in form as knew the procedure from visits to other Morrisons stores. No...trays available and no staff around to take orders until couple in front shouted into the kitchen. Fried eggs on toast and a bacon butty were ordered and arrived within minutes. Reasonably tasty but eggs slightly undercooked."

"Great eating, mushing were excellent. our server was called adam and he was top class, even let me order a dessert from the children's menu and gave me crownings that my adult children found creepy. great price-performance ratio, but even better that they give 20% on blue light card holders. will definitely come again very soon."

"Family party of 11 had a smashing time yesterday at The Crown for hubbies 70 th birthday. Food was fabulous and plenty of it. The children had plenty to choose from on the children's menu but could have opted for the pizzas (which from experience are the best we've ever eaten) we were all very well looked after and they were happy for us to take the birthday cake to finish with. The children were provided with colouring books to keep them amused so we were all able to relax over coffees at the end a perfect do! Many many thanks to Ken, Gosha and Zoe."

"We were the first time visitors tonight. we love in newcastle, but I spend a lot of time in huntington with work, so we have visited many companies in and around the opposite and this must be one of the best. I had a forerunner of scallops and prawns followed by bass and tiger garnel and both were great. to make it from the service was exceptional. many thanks for a fantastic culinary experience, we will be back very soon. neil and julie marsden"
