"Very clean business, nice staff, fresh food. it is a bit more expensive than other places around, but they can appreciate the good quality of what they serve to eat was not oily and had not this old oil/used too many paint oil taste. when I was there, they offered what they had under the hot lamps or wait 7 minutes to have a new batch what I did. They had other items on the menu, but I only ordered fish and chips from them, so can not comment on it, even I did not collect any commentary on delivery service."

"Taste of food was fantastic, very creative use of ingredients! Several dishes on the vegetarian menu faded me, so I will definitely see again! We were recommended to fish and chips. It is really well done, but not exceptional, so I would give that a miss in view of the other options on the menu. I won't fail the service, even though I felt a little protected, so still 5 stars for the quality of food."

"Describing itself as where 'louche lives on', it used to be a 'sordid, sleazy, shabby, strip club' languishing between Liverpool Street and its trendier sister, Shoreditch. As to be expected midweek on one of the hottest days so far, both bar areas and the garden were buzzing with a mix of cities and creatives but it didn't take us long to get served. Inside, it's all brick walls and warped wood tables. Mismatched chairs and splashes of red lend a touch of former decadence and the high ceilings and stripped wood bars give it a bit of a scrubbed up spit and sawdust appeal. "I think this is the 1st full 5 star review I've made. My favourite pug in England. Stunning garden in a very peaceful village. The food is great well priced, the service is fast and everyone at the pub is friendly. Parking: Maybe 5-7 spaces and a few more on the road. Although it's normally a quiet pub. "Called in as part of my delivery round at just before noon on Tuesday. The chips tasted, and looked, like the previous evenings leftovers reheated. Not too impressed overall. Went to Smarts in Grove the next day, so I won't be back to the Penguin."
