"Out for dinner. Sat in the restaurant upstairs. It's an old building, nearly 200 years old. Low ceilings and slopping floors add to the charm. Not cheap, food cooked to order. Worth the wait, delicious."

"Sorry but been tonight and it wasn't good at all. To be fair I've been or times now and never had a good meal. over priced and deep fried rubbish. half the menu wasn't available. No seafood what so ever. Ham hock starter was awful , onion rings cold sent em back and they just banged em straight back in the deep fryer, they came back out almost… More"

"Visited after receiving a gift card and splashed out on the Chateaubriand which was incredibly tasty and cooked to perfection. Like any restaurant goer, I secretly looked at other dishes people had and it all looked amazing. Loads of people had the afternoon tea boards so they must be pretty popular. All staff were friendly and accommodating and outdoor space looks decent. Only side note is that parking spots are a bit tight, so be carefulif you drive a tractor. Parking: Spots are a bit tight"

"I recently had the displeasure of visiting this drug den! Let me tell my story! I was invited up to Barnsley, South Yorkshire, for my nieces 17th birthday. She went to use the Ladies bathroom, and returned to our table 10mins later..absolutely distraught! And in floods of tears! After calming her down, she explained what had happened. As she had opened the toilet cubicle to use it, she was faced with 2 females snorting white powder through a straw off the top of the toilet lid! She never spoke to them, just turned round and tried to leave. A that point one of the girls grabbed her by the arm, and threatened her that if she said anything, they would wait for her outside. When she explained this to me and her mother, we took this issue up with a person behind the bar. We were absolutely gobsmacked by their response. The response was, that if we Didn't like it, we could find somewhere else to drink! Absolutely unbelievable! I've never been treated like this anywhere before . Keep away from this place!"
