"After a quick online search for a decent coffee in the area before heading back to Sydney I hate bad coffee I decided to drop by Beach Bums. so with a long drive ahead this called for a coffee and the ever popular Bacon and Egg roll. Bacon and egg rolls come in many forms but the beach bums one was more like a bacon and egg burger . This had the most amount of bacon I have ever seen in a roll maybe that’s just how it is away from the big smoke : I will give it a another test when I return Oh decent view from this place :"

"Firstly we went here knowing we were not going to get any celebrity chef style food, we just wanted to sit on the water and have some well executed fish and chips and perhaps try the local oysters. The one waitress on was doing quite well given that a few people walked in at the same time. The female owner however, did not care as she carried on a conversation with a friend while the waitress ran around. Now to the food - the seafood platter for $28 (actually $32, but I will get to that) had two prawns and two warm horrible oysters, and then was pilled up with the greasiest fish I have ever had, it also had two small pieces of squid. Given that I was sharing this with my son with the intention of eating the fresh part, I left starving and concerned that I would get sick from the dodgy tasting oysters. We all left feeling queasy.The real kicker came when we were slugged with a 15% surcharge for the privilege of dinning there on a Saturday - our fault we did not see this on the menu - we would have left prior if we had of given our expectations. I get that some Sydney restaurants charge a Sunday surcharge and these are usually top restaurants and you accept that. What I don't understand is that an establishment like this serving up such poor quality food and NO service has the audacity to charge it on a Saturday!The establishment is for sale, so i guess the owners are over it!"

"Amazing fish and chip place! Staff were very friendly. Everything was cooked perfectly and the batter they use is not only crispy but extremely light. Generous serving sizes and for reasonable prices. Best of all, they are one of the only fish and chip shops that do fried ice-cream and great ones at that! Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch"
