"The Fountain Inn in Gloucester is situated in a nice part of the city centre, very near the beautiful cathedral. The interior of the pub really does, as advertised, look like a country pub. It's small inside but has two dining areas, so for meals it accommodates more than appears to be the case on first impression. The food is absolutely first rate quality and a very reasonable price. Whilst the pub feels warm and inviting and the other patrons we meet are often friendly, as regular visitors we've unfortunately found that the same can occasionally not be said for many of the staff. Whilst service at the bar is usually quick and we're tended to at table very diligently, many of the staff, regardless of age, can be monosyllabic when spoken to, can come across as sullen and can occasionally even be quite rude and brusque in response to friendly enquiries or order requests especially when they're busy. This is a shame for a pub which otherwise faultless."

"Do not use this restaurant through Just Eat. Ordered food and delivery was confirmed, estimated delivery time was 7.50 pm. Still no food at 9.30pm, so rang the restaurant and what a poor experience, no idea what was going on and I couldn't understand what the hell they were saying. So a Saturday evening spoilt with no food and a shambolic customer service experience. Will not use this place ever again. AVOID...."

"I ordered tonight through eating and my delivery was late, but it is a big but seymour frit went over and beyond to make sure my delivery came to me so great thank you to the dame that delivered to my house, what a star. best chippy so will definitely be back."

"I’ve been here twice now in the last couple of weeks and each time I’ve been really impressed. The food has been really good and the chefs have gone out of their way to adhere to my fussy requests which is really amazing. The service...has also been outstanding. All of the staff members I came into contact with couldn’t have been more helpful if they tried they were brilliant. Extremely polite, friendly and very efficient. Thank you for two wonderful visits! I’ll definitely be back!"
