"It is a great little pub that the employees care u and are very friendly. I only went in for 1 drink and stayed the rest of the night. the personal made free sandwich and live music came up and it was a brilliant night ended iup until the end."

"I would definitely be recommended. I just have to go down from my house. we are always greeted by the friendly staff. the situation is stunning. on a colder day it is nice to sit on the wood stove."

"The pizza really enjoyed. polite efficient service will get you a small summer that goes out when you eat is ready to collect them either wait outside our going have a drink back in the marquee (which was also very good). a few people also eat in the marquee. for such a small village, I thought it was a big deal with a wide range of foods at a good price. a visit worth when they are close to and cannot be harassed to cook."

"LOVE CARGILL'S Everytime we are in the area we always visit the bistro, even when we are in Perth we travel in to Blairgowrie before doubling back and home to Edinburgh. The food is fantastic, as are the staff, nothing is ever too much bother. I love the variety of the scrumptious food and the cocktails are amazing !! We recently spent time in Blairgowrie for my partners 60th birthday and wouldn't have considered spending it anywhere else other than CARGILL'S. Keep up the good work Thomas and all the staff, See you early in June e"

"Any opportunity our family have, we take trips to Scotland, driving the 8 hours from Wales, knowing we will find a warm welcome everywhere we go. The hospitality of the Scots, together with spectacular scenery and great food make it well worth the journey. In all those years we have never felt unwelcome until we went into the Kirkstyle Inn, Dunning. It is obviously frequented by locals, a local place for local people. They were very busy and there were no tables available inside for dinner so we decided to go into their covered beer garden for drinks and pizza. There were occupied tables to our left and right, both having food, but when we went to order they told us they were not serving food outside. This obviously wasn’t true because everyone around us was eating, without a reservation. This upset the table next to us, so much so, that one of the diners went inside to fight our corner and ask why they wouldn’t serve us food. At that point some large lady came into the beer garden and said the food served outside had been a mistake but we could not have food. She was rude and belligerent. No apology for clearly only feeding favourite customers. We were definitely victimised here, for no reason I can think of. We didn’t make a fuss, just drank up and left. It was so nice of other customers to express their disappointment at how we were treated. I would never recommend this place to visitors. Go at your own risk! They clearly have a captive audience in a small village with no other pubs around. It’s sad they think as a result of their monopoly they can choose to be so dismissive of the people who provide their living. My background is hospitality, hotel management and I can honestly say the customers are our valued bread and butter, never a hindrance. For info we are a couple in our 60s (one celebrating his 60th) adult daughter and fiancé. So disappointing and clearly not the norm for this wonderful part of the world."

"Really enjoyed my visit here. Stylish decor. Small but tasty menu. I had the lamb stovies, soda water and lime and, then, coffee. All lovely. Toilets clean and with quirky touches."
