"We were greeted with a warm welcome as usual. All the staff were polite and pleasant and the food was terrific. We as a family love to get together for a lunch or for a later meal and found The Guelder Rose to be the perfect venue. Sometimes it might be just my partner and myself or it could be up to as many so far as 16 of us. It could be a simple get together or a celebration where some of our party drive from as far as Essex to be with us and nobody is ever disappointed with this venue. Thank you very much Claire and all your wonderful staff. We look forward to our next visit. Best Wishes from us all."

"I had the rump steak meal followed by Eton mess sundae. Polite and very helpful staff. Although a few things were off the menu due to delivery problems it didn't spoil our enjoyment. Well done to all the team!"

"Visited Bank Holiday Monday and had a superb meal. My husband had Tiger Prawns i had the Scallops for starters and they were both amazing, Duck Rump of Lamb main courses to follow both cooked to perfection. Couldnt fault a thing, beautiful food, friendly staff and all at a very good price. Highly recommend this restaurant, we'll definately be visiting again next time we're in Southport"

"Ate here last night with my uncle the flyde fish bar is without doubt the best fish and chips in Southport FACT, they also have a great selection of other meals etc .... its a take away/restaurant it's 5* Definitely worth checking out."
