"Walking around Bateman's Bay and found this lovely little cafe overlooking the river. Staff were very friendly and professional. We had the seafood platter for two at $59 very reasonable and plenty for a lunch for two. They are licensed but we chose the soft drink alternative. Would drop in again when I'm down that way."

"We had Christmas and New Years along with a Birthday party during December and January and purchased dozens of oysters in 5 dozen lots during and within a month. Everyone at the family get togethers and the party was very grateful to the Local Family who are proud owners and run their own business and have so ever since I can remember and we all to went to school together. The oysters are so fresh, one would think you were sitting beside the river whilst the person opened them. They have a lingering taste that can only be described as heavenly delicious and everyone enjoyed them. I went back to get more but only found an empty tray of ice where they once sat, beckoning me to eat more of them. We will be back my friends. Thank you"

"Horrible. Dry. Bland. Yuck. Don't bother. Ordered a battered sav, scallops and a coffee. Took 15 mins. Coffee burnt my mouth. Battered sav was dry and bland. And the scallops tasted old and carboardy."

"Don't be fooled by all those photos, that's what we looked at and was like yep let's go there. But when we got there the place was dead, you could hear the chefs and staff all in the back yelling talking. My partners food the seafood tasted like it was had been sitting in the freezer for years and the deep fryer oil was still dripping off the gross calamari that was served. The chips came out warm and not crispy. And then my salmon was only cooked on top but all inside was cold and uncooked and the skin was not crispy and watery.I told the chef and he was lovely enough to cook me another one. However when the next one came out it had no seasoning on it and was agin watery but tasted like he finished it in the microwave. And by that time I'd already finished my salad and chips were too cold to eat. The staff were lovely. But was just so disappointed by food. Wasted a good night there."

"I love asian food. Good asian food, and particularly really good asian food. I regularly dine in chinatown in Melbourne, and ocassionally in Sydney. I have yet to find an asian restaurant anywhere which is as consistently good as Gold Po Loy. We dine there once a week, and just love it. Never had a bad meal yet, and staff are fantastic."
