"My daughter's final dinner was here. We made reservations in advance and they have my party of 23. They told me how the dinner would go from the beginning to the end. We had 5 servers, some were quite new, and you could say that they learned the ropes. A few small mistakes were made with the selection of foods, but with management and spiced employees to help them quickly corrected. We all had different dishes and I must say that everyone was satisfied with their selection of dishes, taste and presentation. Will I go back there? Definitely! I would never have thought that my daughter would have made dinner here if it wasn't for employees -Wendy, she did such an amazing work with our table at a Sunday brunch that I visited De Soul for the first time and she suggested that this would be a great place to have the dinner of my family. Thank you for making our evening a one we will never forget!"

"First timer. I moved out of the deep south and decided to try this place that many of my friends like this serve soul food. Simply put, I am satisfied and I would recommend it. The place was clean and the food looked great. I feel some items were ridiculously expensive 7$ for a piece of cake?! NOT. However, meals are fair. They can be full and have remains. I spent $45 for two meals, a drink and an additional page. The food was nicely seasoned...not Southern seasoned...but healthy seasoned lol. I liked the Yams and Kohl. The service could be a little better. Although the staff was nice, I'm waiting for someone to take revenge when my food got cold (I dived). One of these situations where you can see waiting, but assume that someone else will help you. Also, toilet had no soap and a dirty, broken toilet. Good place, nice area."

"I went around 12 o'clock today, I had the talipie with mango salsa and the best colleague I ever had. I had a brownie dessert. we had a great waiter for the service. 10 December. would recommend this restaurant for everyone to try."

"Really enjoy this little spot in Brandywine. Authentic recipes prepared fresh in an open kitchen. Welcoming staff and atmosphere. Liked it so much been there two weeks in a row. Portions are good and have had plenty to take home. Vegetarian options: Lots of good options that include rice noodles tofu etc Kid-friendliness: Because th times we’ve been there people have had kids and the staff has been welcoming and patient explaining the menu and making suggestions. Parking: If you can’t find a spot along the front side there is plenty of parking behind and it’s easy to walk around."

"That was the worst seafood I ever had. This was my second visit.. I recommended this place dozens of time wow there was a significant decrease in value and quality. The smallest crab clusters and under cooked shrimps my meal was bland and unseasonal. $100 wasted during vacation in this economy."
