"In my opinion this is the first time in at least 40 years that I can say that both chippys in Criccieth are equally superb. And that is a big compliment for Paddy's! Yes they are excellent but also consistently so and that's the real measure. For anyone with a normal appetite the small cod and small chips is plenty, and the curry sauce is quite special! "My man and I had an absolutely beautiful stay at the lion hotel. the staff was so nice, nothing was too much annoyed. the breakfast was before place, 10/10 hotel restaurant eating was good and cheap. would recommend the fish and chips. I would just say that there was no music in the restaurant and it was very quiet, we felt as if we had to whisper, which did not much for the atmosphere. Drink good and good prices, good selection of flavored gins! the rooms were pretty dated, but all they need, beautiful showers and high quality towels and bed linen. coffee, tee and biscuits were beautiful. had a great stay and would definitely return when they visit the opposite again."

"Absolutely amazing place, hasn't changed one bit, it's been 10 years since I last stayed here. Evening meal was amazing, would thoroughly recommend. The chef is truly a credit to The Moelwyn. I won't be leaving it 10 years again to come back. May see me sooner there. Tom and all the staff are a brilliant team and made us feel very welcome, comfortable and made our break. All the best for the future. Xxx"

"A lovely seafront restaurant that looks spectacular. Dog friendly which is a huge bonus. Sea food was incredibly fresh and tasty, we were just disappointed about the amount of rosemary used in everything battered, but that was our only gripe, we would definitely visit again and recommend it!"

"Had a vegan ice cream sundae and was massively impressed, lovely ice cream and toppings to go along too. Had lots and lots of vegan options and even a vegan menu section in the main menu. Everything was labelled clearly too."
