"Within minutes we knew what we wanted: the sushi boat. After 15 minutes of the waiters ignoring us we flagged them down. 45 minutes had passed since and I could see the sushi chef preparing it for us. There's only so much green tea one can have. We were excited when it was coming towards us only to beeline to the table opppsite us. After another 10mins we ordered an entree. 1.5 hrs later we were finally able to get someone to stop at our table (keep in mind the restaurant wasn't even half full) & we asked when it was coming. I saw the chef put away the sushi boat before they frantically got it out again. They had forgotten our order! No one checked to see if we were ok and no one cared. Fine you forgot it- unprofessional but forgivable. BUT DON'T IGNORE US FOR 15 MINS AFTER ONLY TO SAY 'WE RAN OUT OF RICE'. An Asian restaurant does not run out of rice on a Saturday night and I can see it hasn't run out because it's overflowing on the tables near us. We got no apology and they expected us to pay full price. We ended up being the last in the restaurant. Go to the restaurants next door-they're still buzzing into the night."

"Wow just wow. We try not to go more than 2 weeks without getting out fix of delicious, fresh, flavourful, healthy Thai food. The decor is charming and the staff very friendly. Unfortunately they know our order by heart because we are obsessed with the noodle dishes. I recommend the Pad Kei Mao (sp? which is just divine. They take spices and flavour seriously. Everything is delicious. Sometimes I try other dishes and I'm never disappointed. I love Khun Thai!"

"This is a good old-fashioned fish and chip shop that really good versions of the basic fish and chip shop menu. The fish is always from a high calibre, the chips are crispy and well cooked and the burgers are much better value than... the grills over the street!"

"Ren Dao have been serving very good freshly cooked vegetarian food for many years. Menu also includes a lot “fake” meat/seafood dishes made from soy, wheat protein and mushrooms. I am not attracted to these dishes however my guests who are not vegetarian always enjoy...them. Suitable for solo, couple, group or family. Their take away is also always very good quality. Service is always excellent. Decor, atmosphere etc is appropriate. Warning this restraunt is NOT licensed, but you can BYO Favourite dishes Hot Plate Tofu (the fried egg tofu melts in your mouth) and Deo Vegetarian (the braised mushrooms are amazing)"

"I have dined at Ren Dao a number of times and have mostly been very pleased with the meals. The last visit was a bit hit and miss and our dessert order was completely forgotten previously the service has been exemplary. The menu is very mock meat heavy but if you are after something vegetable or tofu based there are a fair amount of dishes to choose from. .... Pleased to see the newest version of the menu is very clearly coded. A large portion of the menu is vegan, although it is still 'chock full of mock ' which will please many no doubt. Updated from previous review on 2015 08 07"
