"We went to the New Inn for Sunday lunch. We had great expectations but were sadly disappointed. The food wasn’t very hot. My sister and mum ordered the lamb and couldn’t eat it. It had apparently been sous vide and usually this means that the meat is very tender but they couldn’t cut into it. The roast potatoes weren’t crispy and all in all the food was very much below what we expected. We did mention the fact that the meat was tough and the food not that hot and our waitress said that she would mention it to the chef. Nothing else was said to us. As I said at the beginning very dissatisfied and wouldn’t go there again."

"The thatched inn is a lovely pub that we always enjoy going to with friends and family alike. The pub is very welcoming and also serves lovely food too. The menu includes chargrilled steaks and fresh fish, etc. The chicken with red pesto and cream is really good. There is also a special menu which I think changes daily. To complement the wonderful pub food, there are a nice selection of traditional real ales and lagers. Nice service and helpful staff make this a good choice.Families are always made to feel very welcome and in summer the garden is a good place where children can play in the tree house and mum and dad can chill out a bit too"

"I know you see a lot of reviews claiming they've just had the best roast ever, but this was actually the best roast I've had. Me and the Mrs go all over Sussex trying roasts and this place is in 1st place. The staff were friendly and approachable, the setting is beautiful and the food is delicious and full of flavour. "Eating was absolutely amazing. the portions were very generous. I don't complain about it. if they are in the opposite and wish a wonderful Sunday roast. in any case they visit here. we could choose from bark, huh, pork and lamb. enough the choice I would say."
