"We came in passing to have a drink with a beautiful view of the river. Then had really wonderful glasses of wine but Josef is such a great host we stayed for dinner. Simple food, done well. Josef is a legend, you feel completely at home!"

"We have enjoyed the food, ambiance and friendly people at the Graacher Tor Restaurant for years and everything just keeps getting better. The menu changes to include seasonal favorites. The Christmas menu is full of game and local holiday dishes. The Weinfest menu includes dishes made with Riesling wines and of course chanterelle mushrooms. There are many good restaurants in Bernkastel, but eating at Graacher Tor is very special! Reservations recommended."

"A restaurant is no better located, with a breathtaking view of the city of Bernkastel-Kues and its vineyards. We were greeted in a very warm way as we arrived at the noon fire. enormment of the world, many reserved tables but we were still invited to install at a table reserved for the beginning of the afternoon. a very positive point when you know that most of the time, when a table is reserved no matter what time, it is reserved bar. at the level of service, also nothing to say, very smiling and very smiling waitress, dishes served quickly despite the present world. concerning the cleanliness of the restaurant, despite the present world and waitresses running everywhere, it was very clean. small peculiarity, the toilets are located outside the restaurant in a small annexed building but there too, no cleanliness. For the dish, I decided to take a pane with pepper sauce. portions are very generous, as often in German. It was accompanied by fries and a small salad, which was largely enough to see the size of the scalope. However, a small flat on the sauce. When I'm served with a pane of pepper sauce, I'm expecting to receive a nice scalope that bathes in the sauce, and in that specific case, I can only be disappointed with the serving of sauce that accompanied the scalope. It was clearly not enough for the whole meat and that is why I take a point off my note. However, I can only recommend this restaurant for its setting and reception."
