"Food not great, overcharged on bill, had to keep asking for things ie wine list, then the wine we had ordered, cutlery for main course. Nowhere to sit for a drink before the meal, the few seats they have had been reserved for people to watch Rugby. Shame as it us a lovely building, will not return. "Proper landlord landlady in a real village in front of location. we moved back in april 2021 after the move from cottesmore to the opposite. we left friends in our old local behind us and they were terribly missing. then we found paul and lisa at the anchor and knocked it out immediately. although we haven't lived in the opposite before we have a family that has accepted us, is an understatement. we love to go for pint most nights and we have regular their amazing steaks on Thursday. Many thanks that they have us and his so nice to have a renter and renter who ensures their customers. keep the great work both."

"We dropped in here after having a trip out to Melton Mowbray on our way home and what a great place. The food was absolutely amazing, the chefs did a fantastic job. We sat in the lounge area which is a delightful part of the pub to sit and enjoy a good meal whilst you relax. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly, I'll definitely be visiting again."

"Last Thursday it is our second time here and it will not be our last. we had another excellent eating and the personal that our so friendly, especially domino, sitting next to us to ensure that we all ate our food. the stilton cheese inn is a typical country pub with a good selection of domestic cooked food. we are pleased that we have discovered this pub, as it is only 10 minutes away from us."
