"This Chip shop is award winning. The award for the ‘Worst Fish and Chip Supper Ever Tasted’ The fish was over cooked to the point where it was like beef drained of any moisture. The chips were cold greasy and over cooked. Tha prices were exorbitant even for good food which this was certainly not. Apart from the dreadful food the lasting memory is the layer of grease lining my mouth. If the choice eating here or go hungry. Choose hunger your pocket and heart will be less abused."

"I rate this 0 I have been in this chippy quite a lot first time of going in the food was lovely but after a while it started to taste not nice chips was cold sausages just warm asked for a large chips got a regular chips. 26/10/22 was given a large sausage but asked for a small asked for a burger with its salad didn’t get mayo got large chips which was right but was charged £2.50 for a salad I didn’t ask for so I got a refund for that Arriving back home put food on a plate omg it was awful chips where cold sausage was warm burger was hard the salad was brown in colour or to sure what to think not sure if I will be going there again"

"Being a regular visitor to Uppingham used this takeaway regularly for many years when the lovely May was at the helm and was always delicious when May retired the new owners were unable to maintain the previous high standards however I am pleased to report that with a few changes of ownership this quirky little chinese takeaway is once again producing the goods delicious chinese takeaway as good as the legend that was the delightfull May"

"Decided to return after reminiscing about a trip exactly 10 years ago and delighted to find it just as good. Lovely room , lovely pub , lovely staff and lovely food. Cant beat an open pub fire. When booking always tick the dinner and breakfast package, fantastic value for money."

"Had lunch with family. service was a bit slow as it was very busy (although I had booked) but it was worth waiting! Artichoke-Starter was a tasty, great love to detail with the veggies that came with the roast (sugar snap brunette, brunettes and a beautiful carrot and root combination). everything absolutely delicious. friendly staff and a cozy country pub."
