"Amazing fish and chips with very friendly staff, there is a bit of a wait and some times there’s a long wait, but you expect that when know it’s the best chippy on the island, with many awards, hence why you have to wait, as it’s gets very very busy and is only a small premises, well done to all the staff who work extremely hard, you never fail us your food is amazing as are your sauces and we will be back again next week for our usual order"

"Ozzes plage was a surprise. the cod was fresh and the teig and the chips kicked too crispy perfection. the portions are very generous, the medium-sized cod chips had simply fed 3-4 people. we are coming back"

"Regular cod was larger than most and perfectly cooked. Huss was amazing, huge and tasty. The best I have had for ages. Went there as our usual one was busy. Definitely will be going back. Owner had the sense to get orders in from queue and cut down the waiting time. Brilliant!"

"We love this pub. Good wines very well kept real ales. Couple that to the historic cosy charm, good staff with a friendly welcome very good food. I had the lobster last time it was really good. If your taste is a cosy pub with loads of charm no muzak or fruit machines then you will love this pub as well. Along with the Red Lion Freshwater this rates as one of the best on the island."
