"Myself and a group of other ladies dined at Blumen last Friday during our girls weekend away in PEC and we had such a great experience. Honestly cannot say enough about the food and the ambiance. I made reservations weeks in advance. I...called one evening and left a message and received a call back the following day. They were already booked for the whole week before when I called so make sure to call well in advance for reservations. When we arrived for our reservation, we were quickly taken to our table on the back patio (I had requested to sit outside). The back garden area was beautiful with all the plants, lighting and a brightly shining moon. Such a lovely atmosphere! I was a little nervous about the service after reading some not so great reviews but our server was excellent. He was attentive, friendly, and offered great recommendations and wine pairing options. Great service all around. That bring us to the food all I can really say is wow! The chickpea fries were a fun, unique and yummy appetizer to share. I had the rabbit over gnocchi, at the recommendation of our server, and it was so flavourable and rich. Definitely did not disappoint. Others had the fish and chicken dishes which also looked amazing. A few of us shared two bottles of the Long Dog Pinot Noir which we really enjoyed as well. It was nice to have a wine that couldn't be purchased at the LCBO. I would definitely recommend Blumen for a special dining experience. Everyone in my party agreed that it was a wonderful and delicious evening!"

"This place was fantastic! We stayed 2 nights and did a fishing charter. The accommodations were cozy, clean and pet friendly . We went on a charter with Scott and he was incredible. He didn’t stop trying until we got on some walleye! I have to give it to him, he was persistent! . My dog was allowed to come fishing with us and he also had a great time. Scott’s boat was incredibly comfortable and he had hot coffee and cold beverages all day for us. He prepared a nice BBQ lunch and even cooked some for my dog! Scott was a great host, very knowledgeable and fun. Thank you for giving us a memorable experience!"

"This place is very plain in decor but the food makes up for the lack of creative ambiance.Had fish and chips. It was delicious very homemade taste to everything. The French fries are crazy good if you like the thin crispy kind with sea salt which I do.Garden salad with tarragon vinaigrette was really tasty.Garlic soup! YummmmTheir portions are great other things on the menu that other people had were equally homemade tasting.I recommend this place whole heartedlyGood value and taste."

"A lovely visit on a beautiful summer day. The waterfront location was choice and the food was delicious, though the service was somewhat lacking. (A young, buxom blonde was very welcoming and had good banter [also was very attentive to the presents left on the chairs by our bird companions and made sure to tidy up before we had a chance to sit; very professional demeanor], while another lithe blonde with a ponytail was inattentive and seemed uninterested. Ordered a bottle of sav from a friendly brunette- ordering was great as the server was bubbly and helpful, but no bottle service or top ups. Toss up, really. We ordered the seafood chowder,a Caesar salad, and a garlic and herb pizza. Everything exceeded our expectations for a very touristy part of Picton (the chowder was top notch and the garlic bread that came with it was SUPERB , and the prices were reasonable for such a prime location in a small port town, despite being one of the more expensive restaurants in the area. We enjoyed a lovely Valentine's Day lunch on the patio and wouldn't hesitate to return (if only to get more of that chowder and garlic bread! Thanks again!"
