We were pleasantly surprised to find the owner was English as the bar looked Portuguese and certainly didn't have that awful 'Brits abroad' feel that is all so common. Beautiful view, great selection, very reasonable prices and great conversation from Mary. Thoroughly recommend."

"I spent 3 weeks in Portugal and this was the best pastelaria of all. I went there with my family every morning for very good coffee and even better pastry. I tried to taste all of them and I have never chosen wrongly. The place...has family atmosphere and the staff also speaks English. Great place!"
