"I used to eat in Portofino years ago before the renovation took place and was curious to know how it now looks like! The new interior is nice and the location is very beautiful right at the lake but... Unfortunately the food was mediocre (we ordered Pizza and Pasta all pesto genovese plus beetroot salad) and the service was ok. Sadly this beautiful place still offers only a nice view but nothing else! Would not recommend it to anybody."

"Our Air BnB hostess recommended this local restaurant for our last night. These owners know how to run a good restaurant. The welcome was warm, friendly, welcoming and we were immediately made to feel at home. We were lucky to get a seat as there is obviously a lot of return custom and one should book . The food was made from quality ingredients, was excellently cooked, and pleasantly presented. The owners have a hands-on presence and Madam was around to all the tables as well as keeping an eye on the operation as a whole.The service was exceptional in that our waiter who was charming, witty, friendly, and comfortably attentive, looked after us and kept us engaged. We had a lovely final night in Switzerland.Just one important caution. Switzerland is outrageously expensive. Make sure that you know the price before ordering anything in the country."

"Game time in November: The saddle of venison was served in two courses, and I was really impressed by both the tender meat and the delicious side dishes a real bravo to the kitchen. The Sihlhalde's extensive wine list promises a lot, but the limited selection by the glass, which only included two red wines, was disappointing. Unfortunately, the service did not refill mineral water during the main course. It remains unclear whether this was intended to provoke an additional order of a glass of wine. We also had to ask for another piece of bread. It would be desirable to expand the open bar in order to also meet the needs of drivers. Who wants to drink a bottle of wine that has already been opened and shaken during the car ride at home?"
