"Really disappointed by this experience. I’ve been to this restaurant many times and never had a bad experience here until this evening. Everything was great until the check arrived. First, we asked it be split and then it was returned woefully low (half price). We told the manager of the issue. Then it was over based on bottles of wine billed a third higher than quoted. The manager then tried to negotiate that we pay 50% higher than quoted due to error. We said absolutely no. Manager was than extremely rude. This was one of my favorite restaurants in Portland, but never again. Horrible attitude for a loyal return customer and just bad service. They’ve lost my business forever..."

"The food at St Jack was amazing. From small plates to dessert I was blown away by everything I tried. Pretty pricey but I think the food was worth it. The service was upscale but kinda curt and cold. I don’t need a friendly conversation, but do appreciate a nice explanation when it comes to the size or style of certain dishes. Would come back."

"Great place to pick up birthday cakes 24x7. The small sizes of the cakes pack a big flavor punch and it was excellent. The quality of the ingredients was top notch. We used the vending machine and the taste was great. The price could’ve been a little more customer friendly. $12 per cake. The vending machines idea is great."

"Oh man! What a place all of the dishes were excellent and so was the server Jaye. The best and most unique was the deep fried trout. The bone marrow was satisfying, oysters fresh, so were the liver mousse and the doughnut. Excellent place will come again if I can."
