"We were in the middle of a property hunting visit to Saint Lary (not Saint Lary Soulan). We searched out this auberge in the centre of town. A beautiful little auberge set by the river with a lovely little cafe style bar at the front and a restaurant at the back. The restaurant terrace overlooks the river. As we were lunching we sat in the cafe/bar/shop area. We ordered the set menu (3 courses for 15 euro I think). Simple food but beautifully cooked. A really tasty home made vegetable soup with beautiful homemade bread, followed by braised chicken legs in their own sauce. A third course of brulee finished off the meal before we carried on with our househunting expedition. Will definately go back soon and try an evening meal by the river."

"C'est vraiment le restaurant à conseiller quand on vient en vallée d'Aure dans la région de Saint-Lary.Tout y est bon. La cuisine est réellement traditionnel et non touristique. Même le gateau à la broche est amélioré de crème angalise et d'une boule de glace.La truite était très bonne et non bio comme annoncé dans les autres restaurants... Un vrai ragout de mouton juste cuit à point, un bon pâté.Le service est attentionné et serviable. Même les toilettes mérite le détour (sauf s'il pleut... c'est à l'extérieur)Le cadre est magnifique et s'il ne vente pas la terrasse est disponible.A faire absolument."
