"Made Reservation for 830 arrived at the restaurant at 8:30 stood at the hostess booth for 10 minutes without any acknowledgment bartender looked at us three different times did not acknowledge us decided rather spend hard-earned money at someplace that actually cared about their guests left and will never return."

"What a classic! Al's is a great place for the special occasion especially if you like the old school approach. Table side service for the Caesar salad, mains and bananas Foster. It's not perfect, and it really should be for the price, but it's awfully darn good. I assume the post COVID world has hit them with staffing so the numbers of servers is just enough to take care of things, but not as it was in the past when someone was there before you looked up to find someone, but it is adequate. The servers themselves busser, server, head waiter (and husband of the owner) were all spectacular! Friendly, knowledgeable and appropriately chatty. They even brought out their Emmy Award to show us. We really enjoyed the food but I do have some comments: (Don't take these as negatives, but as critique. Overall we'll be back) The Caesar salad presentation 5 stars. The salad itself was slightly overdressed 4 stars. Our steaks Perfect prime beef strip steaks. Mine was cooked to a perfect Med Rare, my wife's was maybe 1 minute too long. The tableside heat and presentation was 5 stars. I had it with lobster cooked perfectly and Oscar sauce which could have been warmer. 4 stars on temp but 5 for taste. The bananas Foster created tableside was perfect. Best I've had since Brennan's in New Orleans. 5 stars. In a better economic climate I'm sure Al's will be back up to perfection all around. For now, it's great, but not perfect for the price. Definitely a place everyone should try."

"I love the smashed potato and mac and cheese. Though they are sides, they definitely deserve to be ordered as the main course. I haven?t got a chance to try the sandwiches but based on the small from the kitchen I would expect the sandwich to be great as well. Also try the chocolate soft cookie, which is tasty. We went there on Saturday night and there was live music at the patio. A nice place to hangout with friends, even if you?re not drinking. The food alone is already worth a visit."

"For the price of the meal the food was subpar at best. Steak was overcooked and the fries my wife got were clearly not fresh and obviously frozen out of a bag and fried like you would expect from a place that charges half the price that Sam's does. The building was in disrepair as well with holes in the ceiling and the carpet peeling up in the middle of the floor as well as very dated decor for a place that charges such a premium. We received a complimentary dessert as it was our anniversary and we're told we could get a chocolate lava cake which came out frozen and basically inedible. Extremely disappointed by our visit and we will not be coming back."
