"We went there on Saturday, June 24th. I got the God father, and it was horrible. I did not finish the food. The shrimp was way overcooked, and the crab meat had an odd tease. My son got the fish and chip, and there was pink color on the bottom of the fish. They said it was off the wax paper it came on. I have never seen anything like that before. My wife got the skipjack chicken, and her shrimp was way overcooked as well. Did not finish. We sat at the downstairs bar cause there was a wedding going on, and the bartender was super nice. None of it was her fault. I was so mad I paid up before we ate cause the food was terrible. Sorry, I'm just being honest."

"What a cute little family cafe! The staff is truly lovely here. They serve a huge breakfast menu along with some lunch items. Everything really looks delicious! They have both indoor and outdoor seating. It's not that big but the decor makes it homey. My first visit my sister and I sat down inside. We got a table right away and it wasn't too crowded. After spying some breakfast sandwiches getting served to the table next to us, I knew that's what I wanted! I ordered scrambled eggs and bacon on a bagel with ketchup and it did not disappoint! The home fries were also tasty. They did forget my bacon at first but quickly fixed their mistake. I didn't mind because the rest of my experience made up for it! I actually came back a second time for takeout. This time I ordered a BLT and fries. The fries were a HUGE portion and the BLT tasted very fresh! As I was waiting at the counter, I had multiple employees check on me to make sure I was being helped and didn't need anything else! This is definitely a gem and you can tell the workers care about their customers and take pride in their work. I even enjoyed the staffs shirts and the funny sayings on the back haha! I highly recommend checking out Sunny Day Cafe and I can't wait to try more of their menu!"

"If you dine in here, be prepared to spend a few hours. The first hour was spent waiting for a table, fortunately the retail area was entertaining so we didn't really notice. Once we were seated, it took over two hours for us to receive our entres mypartner's steak was cooked perfectly, but mine was a hockey puck (ordered medium well, came out grey); my eggs also were burnt.The grits were watery and bland. The sausage gravy tastes greasy, but the beef gravy isn't bad. The manager compensated us witha free dessert. Good service, not very good cooking, very very long wait. Probably won't be back."
