"Ellen is without equality. This is the best breakfast place between S.F. and L.A. The tiny Danish pancakes and Danish sausages with perfectly cooked eggs are phenomenal and no one - that's no one - goes to Ellen's without tasting the apple smoked bacon with 90 percent lean meat!!!"

"I'm glad I... but... came for lunch because friends recommended the place. Not to know how it would go, I ordered the burger, and it was very good, so were the pommes. I will definitely try again dinner, the cook has a big bill of fair and die to try some of the items on the menu. The only negative was that they ask you to give them your email address, then you would be with any kind of food stories. I wish I had asked. I had to ask her to remove my address two times before they did."

"On our way to San Simeon we stopped by around this area to try a coffee spot. We were originally wanting to buy a pastry there 's but the waitress said they didn 't have any so my husband immediately found this gem on the map. We drove to the very back of the lot to find the yummiest bagel spot in the area! The shop is small and weird in the sense that there 's a wall dividing the room with a little hole for you to order from. You can sort of see what 's going on in the back through that window . They have cookies in cute little jars on the customer side along with a refrigerator with drinks. The outside has chairs and tables for eating. The bagel we ordered was the perfect amount of crunchy and the spread was simply amazing. We couldn 't get over how tasty it all was. If we are ever back this way or heading to Solvang, we will be returning to try more of their amazing food."

"Fantastic little Hidden Gem of a restaurant! It's just a few miles from Solvang. Farm fresh food. Food is fantastic, servers are great. Excellent selection of beer and wine! Highly recommend the Margherita Flatbread, Salmon and french fries!!!! Yummmmmmm"
