"Stop here for Brunch on our last day visiting the area and so we wish we found this place on the first day!!! We would have been here every day!! Not only the food and the atmosphere amazing, but owner Andrew Followr behind the bar is the best! He made this incredible experience for us. He's creepy! Best food in the area. Best service in the area. Many friendly regular guests came in. They are very warm to the nutritional needs and they do not charge for every little thing. Large wine selection (not one basic grocery brand). Good quality prosecco. The best espresso Martini I've had for a long time. Not too sweet and really good with a pinch of salt. Nothing is frozen. The steak and the eggs of Benedikt were amazing (only available on weekends) and the salmon scrap was so good. If you like spicy, do yourself a favor and order Lupes Salsa with everything. Bacon is thick cut and good quality."

"We have been coming here for years as our 'go to ' dining experience prior to attending performances at the Kauffman Center. Every visit has provided consistently great service! The cocktails are great, the menu is wonderful and the entire meal and experience from beginning to end is one of the best in town!!!"

"Had Chefs Board which was great selection of cheese, meat, fruit and sauces. Sriracha Honey Fried Chicken Sammy was way too hot. Honey did not cool it down. Lips burned for quite awhile."

"We walked in a minute before their closing time. We were both very thirsty from walking around for a while and just wanted a few drinks. We sat at the bar and had a Soda and coffee and waters. "Made a reservation for Sunday Brunch. We were seated promptly and even though they were very busy the service was excellent with some of the best fresh fruit I have had in Kansas City--especially in the middle of winter. Lots of variety including turkey sausage and gluten-free muffins. A very nice buffet that seemed to be continuously refilled."

"Top of our list right now after a year+ of exploring KC after moving from Houston. We coincidentally met chef Brandon Brumback at a J. Rieger barrel dinner the weekend prior and loved what he did, so it was no surprise that this was a home run.The ambience is fantastic from the moment you walk in the building. The restaurant is cozy and romantic. Staff are friendly and helped with anything we asked for recommendations on.We ordered the beef carpaccio and Caesar salads to start. Both were fantastic, the salad dressing being perfectly balanced with flavorful, crispy yet tender croutons.Half a dozen oysters were next. They were fresh and delicious. I didn’t totally care for the mignonette but I’m super picky about that, I don’t hold it against them.This is the first nice restaurant in KC where I’ve seen a legit cacio e pepe, so I had to order it. It exceeded my expectations and I ate every bit of it.My date ordered the filet and green beans. Both were PERFECTLY cooked and the duck confit is to die for with the beans.Cocktails are a blend of traditional and creative; our favorite ended up being the old fashioned.We opted for the goat cheese cheesecake dessert, which was definitely different but good as a more savory finisher.Take a look around the museum after, it’s a great all in one date spot and you will not be disappointed with the quality. We will be back!"
