"We enjoyed our meal here. Unfortunately, the espresso machine was broken down when we visited... What is a coffee shop without an espresso machine? I found out the hot cider is delicious! We got breakfast, and the omelette was make quite well. The cafe is tastefully decorated, and the folks are friendly. I would visit again."

"We made a trip to Anaheim from Idaho and had to stop somewhere for the night. We wanted to choose Mammoth Berggasthof and while the accommodation was meh, it should not be said about the bar and the grill! The bartender (Heather) was phenomenal! The hospitality and charm they offer could only be best described as southern hospitality. Marvin, if you read this, do yourself a favor and don't let this go. It is a crucial role for the pleasure we had during the meal. The food was amazing and definitely worth the price when viewing portions. If you have children, they have a child-friendly menu, it is simply not advertised. This meal was worth every penny and I would like to go again!"

"American basics done well. The breakfasts here are awesome. The portions are large. The staff is friendly and attentive. It's one of the best breakfast restaurants in Mammoth and it's open year round. It can get very crowded so we show up right when the doors open."

"Terrible experience! Skinny waitress with long red frizzy hair seemed completely disturbed by our mere presence was incredibly rude of going; Party of 9 felt completely discriminated; when I was on her unnamed for behavior, she just went away; caught her unprofessional tirade on a smart phone, we were in town as part of the 4th. July 2015 annual parade, will be post video. And management just doesn't care. Will never return. Word of advice, go elsewhere to avoid a bad experience for healthier food!"

"I 'm giving this 5 stars because I have been coming to Tom 's Place since I was 5 Years old. I 'm now 50. I still travel from Southern CA. at least 15 times a year to come up to fish and enjoy the beauty it has. My dad and I would come up to the Eastern Sierra to fish. We would stay at the old Forbes 40 just down the road. So many good memories. We would always start our day off at Tom 's Place for breakfast and head up to Rock Creek Lake to fish. This was in the mid 70 's. Now it 's 2022. I can tell you, eating at Tom 's Place, I 've had my share of rude waitresses here. A few of which I know are/were family. Being there so many times to eat, I brush it off. I always think of the great memories as kid with my dad. I can still see myself grabbing my fishing pole after we ate fishing right in that pond behind the Restaurant/Store. My dad would always say, What are you doing LOL. The memories I have with my kids going there. The food has always been great. I will always be getting the bacon, eggs and hash browns. Never disappointing even 45 years later. I get that we as customers should always get the service we deserve. Our money/pocket books are what keeps places like this in business. I love the Eastern Sierra. I 've seen a lot of change. Some I agree with. Some I don 't. I do know, Tom 's Place will always be near my heart. Hope the bad reviews don 't sink this ship and that they should know, we as customers are what that have and are. With that said, I 'll always be loyal to this place."
