"Like everyone else I love their bread. I wanted to try something different so asked for a white bread, non-sourdough, with a nice chew. The nice young man recommended Working Man White, which was exactly what I was craving. Should have gotten 2 loaves, finished half the loaf by suppertime.Also got a cinnamon bun, pretty good, lots of syrup, big enough for the two of us, and butter tarts, also pretty good, huge, looked like hand pies.I keep asking for spelt bread but have to order that ahead of time, may do that next time."

"Absolutely amazing, surprisingly-affordable breakfast and baked goods! The Benny was delicious and the lox and eggs was incredible. And the Nanaimo bars were the best I've ever had in Nanaimo. Definitely recommend!"

"We really enjoyed our meal. Salt and pepper wings tequila prawns club sandwich and chicken dinner. All food excellent and was very tasty generous portions Maya our waitress was great and we had quick awesome service !!! We will be back 10/10 ????"

"Cafe Today is in the Longwood Station mall, by the corner of Uplands and Turner. They take orders by telephone, and offer takeout. Neighbours know they have very good coffee and sandwiches!"

"Overall this restaurant is just average. The coffee - after a terrible long wait to get it - was not great. The french toast was mostly without flavor - the eggs/toast/bacon were seriously over priced. I had to ask for water twice and had to ask for coffee refills from a disinterested waitress while sitting at the counter.The place was packed but I overheard many patrons complaining about the portions vs cost.Maybe it's new? Not sure as we were only visiting but I am certain I won't be back. There are just too many other choices that I am sure would provide better service. Funniest thing I saw - the curry restaurant next door delivered a curry bowl to one of the servers! Should have ate next door was our obvious conclusion! ;)"

"Good, basic diner breakfast. Arrived as the place opened and watched it fill within 10 minutes! Good portions. Good coffee. Dated but clean decor. Service was prompt and food came out quickly. I second the comment that toast is slathered in butter (not necessarily a bad thing). Felt pressured to leave as soon as my food was done the server topped up my coffee and mentioned the line outside."
