"We booked this reservation based on the fact a friend of mine is gluten intolerant. We called weeks in advanced to be instructed what was appropriate to have based on her dietary restrictions- all was a go. We arrived to our reservation and selected to sit outside. A gentleman (his name he didnât disclose) proceeded to take our bottle of Prosecco without offering glasses (this is BYOB). We were given attitude while we were confused and asked why someone would open a bottle of Prosecco without glassware, but let it go. When came time to our food order, our friend with the gluten intolerance was told by our Twist server, they only had gluten free pancakes and waffles, nothing else on the menu due to lack of delivery for that day. Rather upset because we called in advanced and spoke to someone regarding options, we were rather confused. This is a gluten free establishment, so to only have gluten free pancakes and waffles seemed odd based on prior conversation. I asked to speak to the manager. Our server said â youâre speaking to himâ. I asked to further explain the mishaps and he declined to provide a response to allow my dining guest the comfort of selecting options that would prevent her from getting extremely sick. I called for the hostess to bring me the manager. She told me she was the manager(Brie). She informed me the pancakes and waffles are NOT gluten free and in fact they still had alot or other GF options. Ummâ¦this could have caused great discomfort to my friend! At this point we stopped trusting this establishment. Food allergies and intolerances are a big deal and to not be taken seriously is an issue. I made reservations elsewhere while sitting at the table, while our server/manager got our bill. We received the bill and he charged us a fee for âjuice carafeâ even though we supplied our own OJ for BYOB in a bottle they donât sell on site). When confronted, he said he didnât know. Proceed with caution!! Please call about issue!!"

"Food is good, but the service is not so great. We were left standing at the hostess stand for 10 minutes waiting to claim our reservation. Ignored by the waitress for a solid 15 minutes before she came to our table. 2 of 3 drinks arrived in a decent amount of time, but the third was much longer. Again, food is very nice, but the service is really slap dash. Certainly don't go if you're in a rush, but if you're at your leisure, you can decide how much of being ignored you can tolerate."

"This place ... what a treat! We were in town for a convention and a colleague found Sammy's, and we're so glad she did! The most wonderful older woman, Valerie I believe, was running the whole place, serving food, making drinks, and all with such a wonderful demeanor, she's amazing! The food was delicious, the vibe was family style fun, I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Baltimore!!"

"We hadn't been to Grano E in a few years and had a very nice meal here on a Friday night. We liked the varied wine list and menu options and will definitely return. We started with a buffalo mozz, despite tomatoes out of season, because I was worried the bruschetta would be too garlicky. Our server was A DEAR to bring us a piece to try in the event we might want to order it the next time. Very thoughtful. My husband liked the Zuppa di Pesce and the lasagna bolognese was very good although texture was extremely soft (perhaps that's the way it always is I don't remember the last time I ordered lasagna... . We skipped dessert only because we were on our way to meet friends. Atmosphere is sweet drippy candles in the fireplace, nice warm colors on the walls, music in the background ... we look forward to trying it again!"

"I've now been here about four times. The food is consistently wonderful and the same applies to the staff. A very comfortable setting with a legit French menu. One of the few French places in Bmore and thankfully it's great. It probably illegal to say it's better than Cindy Wolfe's Petit Louis but I think it actually is (and I love PLouis). I had their onion soup which was fantastic. Others had the baked brie great too. For dinner I had the chicken frites amazing sauce and dish. And our sever Shanti really made th night extra fun."
