"We live in Beaumont-du-Perigord and visited the restaurant for dinner. we had a warm welcome and friendly service during our visit. eating was great and the salade de magret de canard was especially good. we talked to the owner who was charming and we would definitely recommend this restaurant."

"I pre-ordered a vegetarian meal but when I arrived, after waiting over an hour for my main course it became apparent that they had not made a note of my order. I was served with a disgusting frozen veggyburger with meat gravy all over it. This I can forgive, it was a large party of people and stuff happens but when I complained (very politely) the owner tried to make out it was my fault. That I do not forgive. By this time it was 3pm, we arrived at 12.30. I left without waiting for dessert."

"Utterly charming restaurant with great food and wonderful warm personal service, trying hard to speak English. We had lunch here on a rainy Easter Sunday. The menu is not listed as it is a “surprise”. We were asked if we had any food allergies or hatreds (cilantro) and the kitchen was mindful of this. Our six course menu was morel and asparagus heavy, as it is the season for both. Started with a light soup of asparagus and morels. Then two wonderful fish courses, then lamb served with perfectly cooked risotto. The cheese course was creative (as was all the food) a disc of aged goat cheese was topped with candied walnuts and a slice of pickled pear, which set it off perfectly. Dessert was a symphony of chocolate. Portions were not overwhelmingly large, but plenty for big eaters. The food was served at a comfortable pace. Price was quite reasonable considering the sophistication, number of courses and quality of the food. The garden looked charming for good weather. Highly recommend."
