"We absolutely loved this restaurant! We stayed in the little town of Briare only two nights but came here for lunch and dinner, as we had such a great experience.The food was amazing, especially the traditional french tete de veau dish. The service was extremely...friendly, and the view was just breathtaking! Located by the canal with all the cute little boats going by. It was just what we were looking for, a romantic french atmosphere with a sunny terrace at lunch and a beautiful sunset in the evenings. I definitely would recommend this place!"

"Forget all the fancy hoity places, this is as down to earth regional France as you could hope to find. We speak ‘a bit’ of French, just as well as I don’t believe anyone here speaks English. DON’T LET THAT PUT YOU OFF!! This place is just utterly fantastic. It’s what most people rightly think of as ‘proper’ France.Get in there & mingle, they’re a friendly crowd & we went for lunch last year on a Sunday.(I’m a bit late writing this up). The food is lovely, we had two courses & couldn’t manage dessert. There’s a small dining room to the left of the front door, which is where we ate, or you can stay in the bar & eat if you’d rather watch TV with your meal. Either way it’s a really jolly place, not particularly in your face, but fun & really good value.Obviously it isn’t the Ritz, but in its bracket I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough.Phil."

"Pleasant discovery by chance during our visit to Syria, beautiful place quiet next to the tourist boats and the bridge canal of Syria. ice cream and lemon cake are delicious. The waitress alone offered me to have whipped on the ice without specifying that it was paying. I can't pay for anything."
