"My wife and I had lunch here yesterday. We both had cakes with a salad of accompaniment. My wife had duck jam, mushrooms and onion. mine had ham, cheese, eggs and a wonderful piperade sauce. These are the best cakes we've ever had. The restaurant is in a charming old building. they also have a selection of salads and dessert pancakes. in addition to beer and wine, they also have bretagne cider. We'll certainly be back!"

"First dinner at the beginning of a 10 day trip to the Lot and Dordogne Valleys, and La Garenne remained a favorite, and that 's saying something given the consistent quality of meals we had throughout our travels. Gracious and welcoming service, and food that showcases...regionality, while not limiting itself to the immediate locale. Whichever direction you chose to go, this felt incredibility authentic and seasonal, and every dish delivered a melange of delightful flavors. I had the pork cheek with saveurs d 'orient to start, followed by the Dorade fish with the most perfectly seasoned ratatouille and sauce vierge. Whereas the former was warm and complex, the latter was light and uplifting, Reverse that for my wife, who started with shrimp tempura, followed by the fillet of beef. Again with great presentation, seasoning, and balanced flavor. Finish it all off with strawberries and pistachio cream for dessert, and you 've got yourself a proper ending to fabulous meal. "We had a beautifully prepared French cuisine in what is a pleasant, quiet and sophisticated restaurant (in the best sense of the term) where the service was super efficient but always very discreet and at the same time personal. there was no distraction of good food - no music at all and it was not necessary in this little haven of peace. We both thought that the restaurant was of a very good value for money - both for food and wine. We first visited by accident because it was near the hotel, but we were so impressed that we returned there during a short visit of a few days - (the second for a party occasion) with both excellent cuisine and service. highly recommended if you want to spend a quiet evening with first order cuisine from local products."

"Very pleasantly surprised by crescendo. great range of options for adults and children - for British tourists, it's much better than mcd / bk / small chef, etc. more, I dropped and broke a bottle on the ground and they were very nice and sorted it without embarrassing me. In addition to that, my son lost a little memory on the spot, and the staff helped to look for it and actually found it and gave it back. Thanks a lot, guys."
