"Pity about this restaurant--it has a pleasant situation, attractive decor and friendly staff--but our party of 8 found the food absolutely appalling.The soup was just overcooked cabbage water and bit of other veg, the macadoine of veg seems to be tipped from a can and served with a dollop of garlic mayonnaise.There were 2 main courses--the mussels were served cold and had to be returned, The chicken was a small and scrawny leg served with tasteless spaghetti. The desserts were even worse--the cake was a tasteless hard slab and the other pudding was genuinely inedible--the five people who chose it, all left it. We were unified in saying that this was the worst meal any of us had eaten in France. This table d'hote experience was 13.50€ per head. The wine was reasonable but not cheap.We main our feelings known (poilitely) when settling up. the chef was called by the waitress--but had no interest in discussing it--he just walked off with a snort An awful experience."

"Was in Condom on a Tuesday lunchtime looking for somewhere to have a leisurely and reasonably priced meal. Checked out a few places but this restaurant was packed with locals, I didn't even think we would get a table. Luckily there were more covers on the first floor to accommodate us.The decor was pleasant - exposed stone and timber, allowing you toy enjoy the character of the old building. Though at first glance this is a 'Pizzeria' and restaurant, you can also get the usual French dishes on the menu. My brother had a duck salad to start (gesiers in abundance) and then duck confit and frites as a main. He was so full he could not manage dessert but had an agreeable coffee. All of this for 11 euros as their 'menu fixe.' I had pasta carbonara. The pasta was, if not actually homemade, then doing a good impression of homemade. The sauce was likewise, rich and creamy with a fresh egg yolk sitting on top. I think it was 9,50 euros.Of course there was the usual side of fresh bread, and water to wash down the two small beers we had.The service was extremely friendly and also attentive in spite of how busy they were. We ended up passing nearly 90 minutes in the pleasant surroundings because they did not hurry us out after we'd finished.As a 'safe bet' for a simple but well-executed lunch in this gorgeous town, I'd recommend it."
