"This was my first time here with my family. We wanted to eat Peruvian food. So, we gave this place a try. We were going to order food and eat out, but we were invited inside to eat. It's a small place. There was a small stage in it, too. It was a Sunday after around 1:00 p.m., and it wasn't too crowded, but they did have a lot of orders going out. The kitchen was clean. They took our order right away. We got chicken chaufa and shrimp saltado with passion fruit juice (maracuya). It was served with two sauces, which was cilantro based, and the other was like a spicy mayonnaise kechep. It was pretty good. We ordered food to go. The portions were generous, and the food was hot and quick! They have some desserts, too. We got the threes' leches cake and the cookies. Pretty good. There was free parking in the back.Vegetarian options: They had a vegetable chaufa."

"Love Yani! This was my first visit I left a message to make an appt, and she texted me back right away and was kind enough to stay open a little later to squeeze me in before I left for vacation. Her studio is really cute, private, and clean, and it's located in an area of Atwater where parking is super easy. She is so funny and chatty through the whole appointment, which trust me, you don't want to get a Brazilian in silence you need the distraction. And like everyone is saying, her blue wax is a lot less painful than other waxes. So happy to find her!"

"Very friendly, great selection of pastries, drinks and a variety of cakes/desserts in different sizes. The macaroons are delicious, I loved the Thai tea and they are very warm and friendly. Also, can't beat the prices, absolutely recommend!! They also offer delivery!"

"I don't know why I haven't rated this place sooner. I've been going here for years and i'm not even from the area.Talk about fast service! And the one time they made a pretty decent mistake they corrected it immediately. Funny enough, the surrounding area doesn't really seem like the nicest. And yet this place remains very well kept overall and still feels like a nice place to go eat and hang out or just drive by really quickly if you're in a rush"

"I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who is flying in/out of LAX and wants a good meal before/after their flight! Had a great dinner here. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. We started with the oysters, they were very fresh and delicious. I had the stake frites as my main course. The meat was juicy ?melt in your mouth? tender and cooked perfectly, seasoned to perfection as well as some really tasty french fries and salad. My friend had the king salmon which was also cooked to perfection and had a nice tasty garnish on it. We finished our meal with multiple cocktails."

"I CRAVE THIS PLACE!!! Have you ever ordered fries and they were mid? The fries at Hook burger are always piping hot, perfectly seasoned, still thin cut, but meaty! But, what I love the most is their turkey burger. I love tasting the charbroiled goodies and even on the beef patties as well (for my kids). Hook burger was founded by the same gentleman who started the Habit Burger. But, SO much better! They have the best and friendliest employees and I promise you they are always smiling! Love, love, love Hook Burger! If you like burgers, I’d highly recommend trying Hook burger. You will get Hook’d! "
