"We were invited by friends for an evening meal and this restaurant was selected because many alternatives were closed. We had visited several years previously but did not rate it particularly highly. The evening menu was good value at €26 for soup and four course. There were four options for the starters, main courses and deserts. The food was better than average quality but not good enough to be rated as "very good". The wines and coffee were reasonably priced. Service was good. Location was very pleasant sitting outside looking onto the square."

"Very quaint restaurant at the river crossing. owners are proud of there food and, especially, their home-made desserts. Looks like it could be very busy in tourist season, with canoeing, a nearby campground, and an outside ice cream stand, but off-season, very pleasant and relaxing. the owner has taken the entire lot and built the houses and buildings himself - a lot of local pride here."

"This place is so good we booked again for 3 days later. The English owners make you very welcome. The food is delicious and the ambience sublime. In fine weather it is possible to eat on a covered terrace with views across the countryside across an infinity pool. We had Sunday lunch there and it was raining so we ate in side which is fantastic - posh rustic with wooden beams, a central fire place and good decor. All the food we had was utterly delicious and Steve serves fine wines.It is also an auberge but we stay in a cottage nearby so can't comment on the rooms."

"In May, we were guests at the Manoir and had a very pleasant stay. We will definitely return. The location on the Dordogne River, the outstanding gardens, the relaxed atmosphere, and excellent large room added to our very pleasurable experience. The first night of our stay we booked a table in the restaurant but soon noticed we were the only diners. While May is not the high of summer season, we did find the absence of other diners to be curious. The food was excellent (I believe a new chef and the service good. But why no other patrons when other local restaurants seemed to be doing quite well. We were so curious that we asked around the village. Apparently the Manoir had changed owners and rumor has it that the previous owner and restaurant staff were not popular with the locals (rude??? and they refused to return. Apparently, the locals are not yet ready to forgive and forget even though the new owner is doing his best to redeem the restaurant's reputation. I do recommend the restaurant to both locals and visitors alike."

"Over the last couple of years we would describe this as our local. We try and visit each time we are there about every 6 weeks. It is family run the owners and friendly and efficient and the food is good. We always have a really relaxing lunch tasty lunch. The frites maison are fabulous!"

"Restaurant? waitress with a minimum of words , tidal kir , no wine map , rosé wine with very low-end pichet , cruncher plate : fan salad , industrial products even the vinaigrette , no presentation for 21 euros the plate !!! the worst c is the dessert pie apple crumble very mediocre not home,past sticky not crispy with a taste of medica taken in a sachet) finally the coffee very good the only thing of the so saying meal, the restoration is a trade not a tourist piege to flee"

"The restaurant is in a beautiful setting beside a canal river. Currently they are repairing the lock. When it is finished it will be an even more peaceful place. That said the works did not intrude. The food was excellent and they proposed a...good glass of wine to drink with lunch. This was all accompanied by friendly and efficient service."
