"Fun place with live music and good vibe chairs a bit uncomfortable! If you go on Friday morning during market day there is live music and a great vibe. They make nice cocktails and is the closet thing to a wine bar that Lourmarin...has."

"I tried this place yesterday. We arrived at pm and order was placed immediately. Starters Main courses and Desserts were delivered on table very quickly but after we had to wait two hours just for the coffee and the bill with reminders. Finally...the bill was really expensive, euros just for two peoples and a child. Food is good but not exceptional and really too expensive for what it is."

"Found the L'Insolite whilst wandering through. the streets of Lourmarin. Welcoming waiters, who got us seated and drinks all very efficiently. The restaurant has an Italian theme but has a wide choice from Pizza, to steak some fish dishes etc. We both decided on the Moules Gratinée as a starter which were very good and I selected a tuna fish steak which I enjoyed as it was cooked just how I liked it. My husband chose a large salad but found it to be quite rich as it consisted of various meats and pates. Service was good just the right pace. A pleasant meal but nothing remarkable."

"Very nice place, parking right in front (if available), easy access. rather well received, we were adults, a young child a nourisson. I had booked, and clearly specified that there was a stroller with us, and they put us well, that we have enough room to place baby. The map is rather well made: there are inputs /plats for vegetarians, and for those who prefer meat, the grilled beef net in vaux the blow, and the dishes arrived very quickly. The value/price ratio is more the same than a few years ago, but it still remains very good. There was no child menu, but it is possible to please the little ones: there are pancakes. So in the whole rather well, but a slightly smiling staff would be welcome (not particularly unpleasant, but clearly in the stress this evening, yet not a lot of people around us, can be a bad evening for them.)"

"Waitstaff was beautiful and the situation cannot be beaten in the heart of lourmarin. we ate a cold morning inside at the big farm table and breakfast and dinner at one of the many outdoor tables. Morgenei/ham/baguette was easy and a perfect start to the day, tartare was just ok, but pommes were the best we had in the Provence."

"Despite all of the negative reviews since the sale of Le Moulin de Lourmarin, we decided to give it a try. We have eaten at this restaurant for years, and stayed in the hotel, all with the best of memories. Unfortunately, all of the negative reviews are accurate. The food was quite frankly terrible--bland, cold, over-salted and small portions. The squash starter was undercooked and cold. My husband ate a few bites of his dish and opted to stop. The staff were kind, though undertrained (did not refill wine, or water). The black hoodie sweatshirts they wore had no place in an establishment that wants to be known as a fine-dining restaurant. In summary, the food was poor, the ambiance was terrible (overheated, inappropriate music) and all was overpriced. As residents of the village, we eat out often. There are many wonderful places, all with excellent food, ambiance and staff. Until Le Moulin has an entirely new focus, including winning back very loyal patrons, we will not return."

"Un petit restaurant niché dans un magnifique village du Lubéron... Le temps s'arrête, le décor tout en pierre vous invite à un moment de détente avec les chants des cigales... L'accueil à été très sympathique & le repas succulent.. Le tout pour 18€ !!!"
