"You can only wonder why people open a restaurant in a small village like this? apparently there is no problem. ha, people know where to find the quality! so, on this last Friday of august, the hotel and the restaurant were full. after the arrival we took place on the terrace and cooked ourselves, served us a beer from a local brewery. that was very good. he learned his trade in stars restaurants, including the former 3 in olivier rollinger. I think it will be a trend in france. young chefs learn their trade with renowned, but do not want to participate in michelin's rat races. they start a business where they offer super quality, but limited to a small menu and a short wine card. they go for local products, preferably organic. add an easy to maintain hotel and they end up with super value for the customer and benefit for the owner. I go to such a relaxed place at any time, where I am served in jeans, but with a real courtesy smile. where I can sit on a table, no care about everything and enjoy really good, modern kitchen. and tasty it was all, amazing! we were served a meal, juicy from beginning to end, look at the pictures. it seems that michelin has understood that, as she carries a bib gourmand. winelist, exclusively French, short, but well thought out. Oh yes, almost forget. they have 4 rooms, nice furnishings, with a boxspring bed and a really good matratze. the breakfast was really French, roasted baguette, a few rolls. cakes, orange and brombeer jams were made home. we have never found such value and quality. we took the 3-course menu, a bottle of wine, which beer and a liqueur the room and ended at 158€! isn't that a bargain?"

"Nous étions 2 randonneurs sur les monts du Forez qui avions réservé ce gîte d'étape.Mais quelle agréable surprise !La gentillesse de l'accueil, une chambre parfaite et surtout la qualité de la demi-pension. Du jamais vu, car nous avions exactement les mêmes prestations que les clients du restaurant : un repas gastronomique exceptionnel au prix dérisoire de la demi-pension. Le matin un petit-déjeuner de roi avec des produits frais, notamment un petit cake à la pistache qui venait de sortir du four. Un grand merci pour cette expérience !"
