"What a fantastic place, staff were all so lovely especially towards the kids! my kids loved making their own pizzas taking them to the chef! definitely made them feel special! Every member of staff made the time to interact with my kids were so friendly was my 1st time visiting today I will definitely be back! would definitely recommend this place to anyone!"

"What a fantastic experience. The staff were excellent and the food was truly phenomenal. I haven't had an experience this good in Newcastle for a very long time. Could not recommend this more. (The king prawn chorizo starter was a real highlight, and the french martini was the best I've ever had!"

"First time visit, went for the club sandwich which was very tasty and my son went with the cheese burger and salad which was also very tasty and the side salad was almost a meal in itself, good selection of veggie dishes with a children 's menu also. Decent selection of hot, cold and alcoholic drinks which I think are all vegan. Try the proper chips , they 're proper chips!!! Will definitely go back."

"I’d heard great things about the French Quarter and booked a table for Thursday evening. I wasn’t disappointed. The food was great, planche mixte and pil pil prawns, staff friendly and knowledgeable, great house wine and desserts really good too. We’d had such a brilliant meal that we decided to try and book again on Friday evening , luckily we got the last 2 seats at the bar. This time I had the mussels, best I’ve ever eaten, and my husband decided to have the planche mixte again! Superb food, lovely ambience and reasonably priced. Can’t wait to return"

"Dined out using the government discount. Some menu options weren't included but that was made clear at the beginning of service. We have dietary requirements which were well catered for. The waitress was really attentive without being on top of us all the time. she was lovely. Nice quiet atmosphere, good mix of fellow diners and good views of Tyne and bridges. We would definitely visit again"

"Went to the maven for an anniversary dinner. The atmosphere was very romantic and chilled. The service was very quick and we weren't kept waiting for our food. I found it very good that they offered a vegan menu and you can mix and match for same included price. The food was nice. I had the Thai chicken laska, the only thing I can say is that there was still cartilage and alot of skin left out the chicken, so it tampered with the overall quality of the food. Overall I did have a pleasant experience, will return when restraunt week is on, as quite pricey for quality otherwise"
